Nickel AlloysAlloy C-276 Bar

Superalloy with excellent corrosion resistance in a wide range of severe environments.

A solution-annealed nickel-molybdenum-chromium alloy with the addition of tungsten, C276 exhibits excellent corrosion resistance in a wide range of severe environments.

The high molybdenum content of C276 provides the alloy with its excellent resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion. Since the alloy's low carbon content means C276 is resistant to the formation of grain boundary precipitates in the heat-affected zone, C276 can maintain its unique corrosion resistance in the as-welded condition.

C276 is selected for resistance to wet chlorine gas, hypo-chlorites and many other aggressive chemicals. It also offers exceptional resistance to strong solutions of oxidising salts such as ferric and cupric chlorides.
