Building Mindhealth at Righton Blackburns

As part of our commitment to improving the overall wellbeing of everyone at Righton Blackburns, we’ve been instituting training for staff and managers across the company.

A key plank of our ESG policies involves ensuring the mental health of all our employees, as such we’ve implemented training courses to build a truly supportive workspace. Starting with the fundamentals of mental health awareness and then constructive training in how to positively improve your own mental health and support others in doing the same.

The first step in building a respectful and supportive environment when it comes to mindhealth is making sure everybody understands what mindhealth is. Through giving everyone the necessary understanding to recognise the symptoms and possible factors contributing to common mental health issues we can ensure that we normalise mental health so that it can be discussed openly and without stigma. This is backed up with additional training for all managers to give them confidence in supporting anyone who may be struggling.

Understanding how common mental health problems can be is a vital step in ensuring that we all take the necessary steps to help ourselves and our colleagues in creating a supportive workplace.
